The world’s biggest coffee chain is working with Mercedes-Benz to offer EV charging stations at 100 Starbucks locations in the U.S. The first phase will have the German carmaker placing its 400-kilowatt devices in Starbucks stores along Interstate 5 on the West Coast.

Starbucks said it has “nearby access” to charging stations at more than 1,000 locations.

Mercedes-Benz last year said it would join Tesla’s ( TSLA ) North American Charging System network.

Shares of Starbucks fell 0.5% in Wednesday trading. They’re down more than 20% in 2024.
